An in-home photography session sounds daunting to anyone I mention it to. However, if you’ve been around here for any amount of time, you these are the sessions where my heart lies.
Fall is when everyone wants to book an outdoor session. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that. The problem, though, is life doesn’t happen in a field with gorgeous golden light. Life happens in your home.
Think about it for a second, your home is where you laugh, it’s where you raise your little family, it’s filled with all your memories of your kids growing up. When you look back and drift down memory lane, that field is not what will come to mind. It’ll be your home.
Also, life doesn’t happen only in the fall. Life happens all year round. Don’t wait until fall when your little one loses a tooth in February. Document that toothless grin then! Don’t miss out on the things that matter just because they didn’t happen in the fall.
One of the biggest pushbacks I get for in-home photography sessions is not thinking your house is fancy enough for pictures. Wanna know a little secret? It doesn’t matter what your house looks like! In-home sessions aren’t about documenting what your house looks like. They are about documenting the love and laughter that fills your house. As you scroll through this post and my website, I bet you’ve never once noticed anything about the house in the pictures. Nope. All you see is a gorgeous face or a mom loving her babies.
Moral of the story, in-home family sessions are where it’s at. It’s nothing to be scared of, and if you ask me, they’re kind of better than outdoor sessions. Email me today and we can talk about what your in-home session should look like.
