An Experience Like No Other – Omaha Birth Photographer

Most who know me, know I am very much an empathic person, this is actually one of the reasons I am so great at what I do, so you can imagine the emotional impact of being a birth photographer can have on me. What a woman goes through during the nine months of being pregnant, ON TOP of what happens to their bodies to give birth, is unbelievable!

My dear friends asked me not so recently to photograph the birth of their daughter. I need to note that just because I am a photographer doesn’t mean I am the photographer for all of my friends so being asked to do this for them was the biggest honor. This momma decided on a home birth and although I have complete faith in her abilities as a strong and capable woman, having her husband supporting her along the way, I’m sure, made this experience just a tad less fretful for her.

To know these two trusted me to document one of THE most incredible moments of their life but trusted me enough to allow me into such an intimate moment in a family.
