Those who have been around here for some time know that I RARELY do any sort of giveaways or run too many contests. Well, my friends, that ends TODAY! (insert excited crowd sounds here.)
A Little Insight
Facebook is constantly changing their algorithms and making it harder and harder for our (businesses on FB) posts to be seen. Don’t worry, I promise this isn’t a “poor me, look what FB is doing to me” post. I’m SO not that person. What it does do is explain why you maybe don’t get to see all of my posts.
Also, my feed has to look pretty to anyone checking out my page for the first time. Nothing wrong with that, they quickly want to see if I’m the photographer for them. The problem is now I don’t get to share all the great and fun things that I want to and it’s made us lose our connection.
My Solution
About a year ago I created a Facebook Group but never really did much with it until now. With this group, we can have a community where we can discuss anything from what to wear for your sessions, how to display your beautiful art, or even laugh at our husbands (since they give us so much to laugh about).
I want this to be a place for all of us to get to know each other better and connect to one another, and a place you look forward to seeing in your feed. We all need a little bright spot in our days and I want this to be it!
I Thought You Said Something About a Contest…
I did. But I tend to be a talker and over explain so here we are. I want to grow this group into a great community and to do that, I NEED YOU! I want you to go through your friends list and find people who you think would love MLP and enjoy being in this group and to add them. That’s it! To make it even easier, here’s a message you can send in the invite instead of trying to come up with something on your own. “Hi! Here’s a group that my absolutely favorite photographer has created and I think you’ll love it and her!”
If we can get the group to 50 people, I will do a giveaway for a $25 gift certificate to The Beanery (my favorite coffee stop!). When we get to 100 members, I will do another giveaway for a $50 gift certificate to Chatbooks to create books using all those cell pictures just sitting on your phone.

To enter the drawing, all you have to do is join the group. A winner will be selected at random from the list of members. Contest ends Monday, September 30th at 11:59 pm CST.
